Colour lithograph on firm wove paper with watermark "JW Zanders 1921" 28.5 x 31.2 cm (35 x 48.6 cm) Framed under glass. Signed. Rare proof before the edition as title page of the portfolio "Max Liebermann. 9 Steinzeichnungen" published by Bruno Cassirer in 1926. Achenbach mentions only two further proofs, one in the collection of the Kupferstichkabinett of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, one in the Pollag Collection, Zurich. - Slightly browned and with light-stain as well as remnants of a former mounting in upper margin.
