Undernath a pine spreading out onto both sides Emperor Kômei sits at a table reading a book while Kan'u, Chôhi and Ryûbei are on their way to visit him, the background filled with sayagata, hishi and weave patterns, at the top and the base chrysanthemum flowers and leaves. The carved lacquer ojime with playing children. The carved red lacquer manjû (either the lower part of a two-part manjû or an ash tray netsuke) with lotus leaves and omodaka. 19th century.
