Two Vienna porcelain cups and saucers with allegorical motifs

Of cylindrical form with angular handle and original saucer. The cup painted with a pair of swans labelled "la Sageße" and a snake "la Prudence", the saucer with an elephant "la Magnanimité" and an ostrich "la Sensibilité". Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamps 802 and 803, dreher's numbers 47 and 31 for Paul Schwaiger.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Konrad von Sorgenthal, fired 1802 and 1803, decorated soon after.
