Poseidon and Amphitrite

Three figures on a tall rocaille base with a crooked tree. Amphitrite is depicted in a floral dress and a scale pattern bodice, Neptune with a crown of reeds and purple drapery. At their feet, a winged putto pours water out of an urn. Blue bindenschild mark, embossers mark F. The trident broken (included), inconspicuous chips. H 30.5 cm.

Private collection, Palatinate, acquired from Bednarczyk in Vienna in 1970.
