A Berlin KPM porcelain dinner plate from a hunting service

Model no. 301. The well finely decorated with a depiction of a drinking bear, the border with naturalistic birds and flowers. Blue sceptre mark, pressnummers 4, 8 and 23. D 24.2 cm.
Circa 1775.

The bear motif is derived from an engraving in the "Second livre d'Animaux" by Charles Dagommer and Jean-Baptiste Huet, which was published in Paris in 1775 with "privilège du Roy".
