Model no. 301. The well decorated with a depiction of a bird on a branch, the border with insects. Blue sceptre mark, pressnummer 19. Wear to the gilding. D 24.2 cm.
1793.

Like Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm and his bride Luise von Mecklenburg-Strelitz, his younger siblings Prince Louis and Princess Friederike also received dinner and dessert services as a wedding gift from the father of the bride King Friedrich Wilhelm II two days after the crown prince received his. The “englischglatt” model was chosen, but the décor corresponded to that used in the “antikglatt” model service made for Peacock Island. Information on the model, décor, and extent of this 36 piece service can be found in the royal account book known as the "Conto-Buch Sr. Majestät des Königs".
