A Berlin KPM porcelain platter with an Arcadian landscape

Decorated with a finely painted idyllic river landscape with hills in the background. In the foreground three women washing and a shepherd with cattle and sheep. A gilt frieze around the inner rim. Blue sceptre mark with underglaze blue dash, iron red painter's mark. H 21.3, W 36 cm.
Early 19th C., tentatively attributed to the painter Johann Eusebius Forst, presumably after a painting by Jakob Philipp Hackert.
