A Berlin KPM porcelain plaque with a view of a gentleman's room

Decorated with an unusually detailed depiction of an interior, possibly a library or study. Impressed letter H. H 11.5, W 15.7 cm, in a later wooden frame H 17.2, W 21.7 cm..
Attributed to Berlin, KPM, circa 1840.

This work shows the view from the window side of the room towards a double-leaved door, probably leading into a corridor. On the left we see a wall covered in bookshelves, on the right a large tiled oven and an unusual cabinet in front of a partially visible door leading into another room. In the back left corner we see a pipe-stand and a top hat placed on an étagère beside it, both attributes indicate that the room belonged to a gentleman.
