A large Berlin KPM porcelain vase with a portrait of Friedrich Wilhelm IV

Model no. 1616 "Französische Vase" with rosette handles issuing from palmettes. Fired in three pieces and screw-mounted. The display side decorated with a particularly finely painted bust of Friedrich Wilhelm IV in a round reserve after a work by Franz Krüger. The reverse with a view of Lehnin Abbey and the Falconer's House in an angular gilt surround. The sides with gilding and arabesques. Blue eagle mark with KPM, red imperial orb mark. Gilding of the rims and handles retouched in places. H 68.4 cm.
