A magnificent Berlin KPM porcelain chandelier with "weichmalerei" decor

Porcelain with tin and ormolu mountings and wire. Model no. 3237. Fired in several parts and screw-mounted. The central section suspended from three curved bronze arms and decorated with relief cartouche appliques and flowers painted in "weichmalerei" style. The upper section designed as an arrangement of three-dimensional flowers with gilt metal leaves and porcelain flowerheads. Three curved branches, each with two nozzles. One branch with pressnummer 3927, the two others with 3227, impressed marks D and a triangle with two dots. The floral pendant and one flowerhead in the upper section lost, one leaf reattached with wire. H c. 92, D c. 63 cm.
