Literature

According to Thieme/Becker (vol. 9/10, October 1992, p. 230), Jean Marie Dussaux was primarily known for the works he produced for Louis V Joseph de Bourbon, Prince de Condé (1736 – 1818). The prince fled abroad upon the outbreak of the Revolution in 1789 and only returned during the reign of Louis XVIII in 1814. Dussaux decorated rooms for him in Chantilly palace throughout the 1770s, including the Salle du Spectacle and the Petits Appartements.
