A rare Meissen porcelain figure of a dancing Tyrolean lady

Figure of a young lady captured in a lively dance step on a rocaille base encrusted with flowers and foliage. Her apron finely decorated with "indianische blumen", the billowing skirt in purple, the jacket blue with a yellow hem. Blue crossed swords mark to the back of the base, unglazed underside, pressnummer 10. The hat, part of the hem of the jacket and one leaf restored, a minor retouch to one of the ribbons. H 18.5 cm.
Around or shortly after 1740, the model by Johann Joachim Kaendler.

This figure is listed in Kaendler's "taxa" as "I. of the same [Tyrolean girl] depicted dancing, holding her apron with both hands 2 talers 12 groschen".
