A rare Höchst porcelain figure of a running boar

Model of a wild boar on an earth mound base with flowers and foliage. Gold wheel mark, two spur marks, the base with greyish glaze. The tail and tusks restored, minor retouches to the fur. H 9.6, W 18 cm.
Around 1750/60, this model attributed to Laurentius Russinger or Johann Gottfried Becker.

This intriguing figure appears to have been produced at a similar time to the well-known model by Johann Wilhelm Lanz. Barbara Beaucamp-Markwowsky lists the earliest models in Strasbourg.
