Two Meissen porcelain plates from a service with chimaeras

Porzellan, polychromer Emaildekor, brauner Randstreifen. Decorated with a finely painted depiction of a chimaera surrounded by flowers and foliage in kakiemon polychromy. The border with three moths and three small flowers. Blue crossed swords mark (one with pronounced pommels and curved guards). One plate with a firing crack in the centre at 7 o'clock. Minor losses to the enamel and scratches to the ground. D 20.9 cm.
Around 1730 - 45, painted in the manner of Adam Friedrich Löwenfinck.
