Vintage photogram on ferrotyped gelatin silver paper. 17.7 x 10.4 cm. Photographer's stamp on the verso. Unique.

János Szász did not want his photogram “Chains” to be understood as an experimental gimmick. Rather, he used the artistic material at his disposal to criticise the current political conditions in Hungary which was under Soviet dominance at that time.
