Water tempera on paper, laid down on canvas 101.5 x 73.5 cm Framed under glass. Signed 'H. Nauen' in black lower right. - Drawing pin holes in the corners and along the edges.

Lores mother Erna was an art teacher and probably became acquainted with Nauen as early as 1919. Until her marriage to the Dortmund general music director Wilhelm Sieben she assisted Nauen in his household at Schloß Dilborn and in caring for his daughter Nora. Between 1922 and 1928, Nauen created a total of six portraits of Erna Sieben in oil and tempera (Malcomess/Drenker-Nagels 56, 57, 72 - 74 and 84).
