A boxwood netsuke of Fûten. Second half 19th century

Fûten, the wind god, seated on a large drum with his wind sack in front from which he conjures powerful clouds. The drumsticks inserted in the back of his apron. Very finely carved, engraved and polished, the nails of the fur cover inlaid with black horn and the eyes of grey horn. Signed Ichido Masakazu with kakihan. Restored.
