A Meissen porcelain ecuelle and stand with merchant navy scenes

Comprising a tureen with pierced handles, lid with pinecone finial and original stand. The tureen and stand finely painted with merchant navy scenes and water landscapes in ten quatrefoil surrounds. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark . . for Johann Martin Kittel jr. (tureen), pressnummer 16 (stand). The handles restored, the gilding partially overpainted. D stand 23.7 cm.
Circa 1740.
