Round base with a foliate wreath supporting a shaft with a bubble inclusion in the base of the tapering cup. Decorated with a monogram in a round cartouche flanked by palm fronds. H 21 cm.
Mid-18th C.

The goblet may have been commissioned to commemorate the birth of a Saxon prince.
