A Napoléon III piano

Ebonised wood inlaid with tortoiseshell and brass, ormolu mountings. Richly adorned with "première partie" Boulle marquetry and gilt bronze appliques. With two carrying handles and two adjustable candle holders. Signed on a plaque to the interior "Ch.les Krebs FACTEURS DE PIANOS 91 Rue de Sèvres". The inlays with minor losses and detatched areas, the right handle restored. H 120.5, W 154.5, D 62 cm.
