An early Meissen K.P.M. mark teapot with Hoeroldt Chinoiseries

Compressed bun form with palmette clasped handle and spout issuing from a mascaron. Decorated with detailed Chinoiserie scenes in gilt and purple lustre surrounds with iron red feathers. Blue crossed swords mark with K.P.M., 43. in gold (base and lid). The finial and a chip to the edge of the lid restored. H 11.5 cm.
