The porcelain Sèvres, enamel decor by André Thesmar, 1911.

Objects by the French enamellist André Fernand Thesmar (1843 - 1912) are exceedingly rare. He is considered a master of the enamel technique, a craft which received new impetus and inspiration from the Japonisme trend in the latter half of the 19th century. Every detail of this exceptionally wrought vase demonstrates his mastery of the technique.
