With hare's fur glaze and brown engobe beneath green enamel. Relief signature "MOUGIN NANCY 279. J. Condé. de".
Nancy, Joseph and Pierre Mougin, designed by Georges Jean Condé, after 1922.

Joseph and Pierre Mougin, who ran a ceramics studio in Nancy, first exhibited at the World Fair in 1900. They not only realised their own ceramic creations, but also those of Victor Prouvé and Louis Majorelle. After 1922, they also began to work with Georges Jean Condé, called Géo (1891 - 1980), whose geometric designs perfectly suited the new Art Deco taste.
