Oil on canvas-covered card, collaged, mounted in two levels, framed 32.7 x 24.5 cm (48 x 39 cm) Mounted on fabric-covered mat and box-framed under acrylic glas. Unsigned. - The card with stamp from Paris artist's supplier Lucien Lefebvre-Foinet.

This painting was created as a stage design for the piece “Judith”, written in 1931 by Jean Giraudoux and staged by Jean-Louis Barrault at Paris's Théàtre de France in 1961.
The costumes were designed by Dorothea Tanning.
