18 pencil resp. chalk drawings on wove paper resp. smooth drawing paper From 32.4 x 24 to 46 x 31.2 cm Each mounted in mat and in black card portfolio. Partially monogrammed 'cg be' resp. 'be'. Partly additionally signed by the portrayed person and verso with blue estate stamp. - The paper partially somewhat creased and with marginal handling marks.

On the occasion of the Nobel laureate meetings which have been held annually since 1951 in Lindau, on the shores of Lake Constance, Curth Georg Becker served as the events' sole approved artist and completed a series of portraits of the attending Nobel laureates between 1951 and 1955. Among the 18 drawings being offered, several were signed personally by the sitters themselves, for example, Albert Schweitzer (Nobel Peace Prize, 1952), Werner Heisenberg (Nobel Prize in Physics, 1932), Otto Hahn (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 1944) or Hideki Yukawa (Nobel Prize in Physics, 1945).
