Lesser Ury travelled the Middle Rhine Valley in 1924. As Sybille Groß states in her report, the works created there were shown in Berlin in the winter of that year: the oil paintings in the Kronprinzenpalais and the accompanying pastel drawings in the "Neue Kunsthandlung" in an exhibition dedicated exclusively to this medium. In the park of Schloss Reichartshausen, which had been linked to the Cistercian monastery Eberbach for centuries, Lesser Ury also painted a tree motif from the surroundings of the castle ("Sonnenflecke, Schloß Reichartshausen").which was exhibited by Cassirer in 1932.
