A round cast iron plaque with John the Evangelist

Black patinated cast iron. Labelled depiction of the saint in an angular surround, the spandrels decorated with a symbol of the trinity, a trumpet, stars and arabesques. D 14.8 cm.
Prussian iron foundry, Berlin or Gleiwitz / Gliwice, 1845, the model by Leonhard Posch after a work by Domenichino.
