A Hachmann mortar made for Johan Linit

Golden brown cast bronze with rich chocolate brown patina. The display side decorated with a vacant coat-of-arms supported by winged demi-figures. With two wide banderoles below the rim and above the base inscribed in Gothic minuscule: “johan linit ? so got furh my ghenuch” and “int iaer ons heren m vc lxviii”. The handles formed as double-headed dragons. Minor scratches and dents along the rim, the base and the outer surface. H 12.8, D 13.8 cm, weight c. 3.6 kg.
