Modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1744, produced soon after.

Cf. the figure in the Porzellansammlung Dresden, inv.no. P.E.990 (in Pietsch, Meißner Porzellanplastik von Gottlieb Kirchner und Johann Joachim Kaendler, Munich 2006, no. 40). Ulrich Pietsch cites Kaendler's workshop records from März 1744 that mention: "Eine alte Frau als Wirthschafterin Welche einer Henne nach dem Ey greiffet gehörig zerschnitten und zum abformen zubereitet". He also lists another example in the collection of Franz E. Burda.
