A magnificent early Meissen porcelain plate with Hoeroldt Chinoiseries

So-called "salami plate" decorated with a chinoiserie style chrysanthemum flower in the centre and “indianische blumen” surrounded by gilt tendrils and rhombus motifs with purple lustre. The border with four Chinoiserie scenes in cartouches, the underside with “indianische blumen”. Blue crossed swords mark. D 21.7 cm.
Ca. 1728.

Six of these sumptuous plates were once housed in the collection of Dr. Franz and Margarete Oppenheimer and later passed into the estate of Dr. Fritz Mannheimer.
