An Appenzell pewter jug

“Glockenkanne” with a faceted spout and lid with a bayonet clasp and a large grip ring, the lid secured by a folding clasp. Decorated with mouldings, the shoulders with a shield monogrammed “VBB” and dated “1623”. With a bear mark and IB on the inside on the base. H 31.5 cm.
