A polychromed wood no mask of a young woman. 17th century or a little later

Type: Shikami. The eyes with round piercing for the eye pupils, the open mouth with a visible row of blackened teeth below a softly curved upper lip. Round cartouche reading Tenka-ichi Yamato. At the back a pasted paper label reading Shakumi and four other kanji, a small inscription in red lacquer reading Shakumi and an old acc. no. (probably of a museum) in white ink reading A 9051. Damaged and with small restoration.
