Wakizashi. Dated 1689

Blade length: 35.5 cm, u-no-kubi zukuri, iori mune, o-kissaki, remains of a naginata-hi, itame hada ni mokume, gunome midare hamon, boshi: kaeri. Nakago: ubu with one mekugi-ana, ending in square kurijiri, signed: Kaga (no) kami Sadahiro and dated Genroku 2 (1689).

Koshirae: 19th century, bronze tsuba in stylised bird form, sentoku fuchi-kashira with wave decoration, copper langoustine menuki, nashiji lacquered saya ending in....., yellow binding over same.
