A large Meissen porcelain sugar box with chinoiseries

Round sugar bowl with original lid. Painted with five chinoiserie scenes surrounded by insects and fanciful birds. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark five pointed star, gold 37. (box and lid). The knob reattached. Minor chips to the basal ring of the box caused by the manufacturing process, the lid and base of the box with minor firing cracks. H with lid 9.4, D 10.9 cm.
Circa 1735 - 40, decor attributed to the workshop of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
