A rare Berlin KPM porcelain jardinière with a putto

Porzellan, polychromer Aufglasurdekor, Glanz- und Mattvergoldung. Model no. 3593. Oval pot cover on a rocaille base encrusted with shellwork and reeds. The upper rim with two figures of a boy and a girl holding flowers in their outstretched hands. The sides painted with bouquets of anemones and cherry blossoms in "weichmalerei" technique. Blue sceptre mark, impressed model no. 3593, impressed marks, gold painter's mark. With minor chips. H 20.5, W 39, D 19 cm.
Model by Burckhardt Apel, 1891, produced around 1900.
