A 14k gold, diamond and Burma ruby pendant brooch.

Two-part brooch with a bombé-form oval upper section and a removable droplet shaped pendant below, both of pierced sunburst design set with small rose-cut diamonds. The rims set with cushion shaped old-cut diamonds. The centre of the oval brooch set with a natural pink cushion-cut Burmese ruby (c. 3.66 ct, c. 10.05 x 9.03 x 4.35 mm) surrounded by 22 rose-cut diamonds. The centre of the pendant with a natural pink cabochon-cut Burmese ruby (c. 2.53 ct, c. 9.93 x 7.15 x 3.32 mm) surrounded by small rose-cut diamonds. The diamonds in total c. 5.80 ct (M-O, vs-si; the nine largest stones each c. 0.30 ct). The brooch findings and pendant removable. Originally parts of a larger convertible chest ornament with old screw mountings on the reverse. The brooch findings replaced. Total H 8.5 cm. Brooch 4.0 x 4.5 cm. Pendant 2.5 x 4.0 cm. Total weight 28.70 g.
