A small mortar with bearded mascarons

Slightly rough textured golden brown cast bronze with shimmering natural patina. Tapering mortar with a moulded base, decorated with four rounded ribs alternating with male mascarons. H 8.2, D 13.4 cm, weight c. 1.4 kg.
Attributed to the Iberian Peninsula, 16th / 17th C.
