A Dutch mortar dated 1610

Golden brown cast bronze with slightly green tinted shimmering dark brown patina. Decorated with bands of acanthus and arabesques. Inscribed around the rim in capital letters: "LOF GODT VAN AL Ao 1610". With two zoomorphic handles. With traces of limescale to the interior, minor dents to the underside due to usage, minor wear throughout. H 12.5, D 13.8 cm, weight c. 3 kg.
Attributed to Deventer, Henrick ter Horst, 1610.
