A Meissen porcelain teapot with a stag hunt

Squat, bombé-form vessel with original lid. The lower section and shoulder with fluted mouldings picked out in iron red and gold. With a finely painted scene of three hunters with their horses and dogs hunting a stag. With gold moutings; the lid attached to a cuff around the handle via a chain (the cuff around the finial lost). Unmarked. The spout restored, minor wear to the gilding. H 10.5 cm.
Meissen porcelain, around 1720, decor attributed to Ignaz Preissler, around 1725.
