A pair of elegant Meissen porcelain tureens with "deutsche blumen"

"Brandenstein" models with original lids. The finials formed as figures of a boy as a cavalier and a girl as a lady, both holding baskets of flowers and surrounded by scattered fruit and flowers. The paw feet and handles with shellwork mouldings. Blue crossed swords mark, one tureen with blue mark x and one with 4. The lid with the boy figure with a glued breakage, also to the handle. The grapes beside the girl and both handles of that tureen restored. H 30.8 and 29.5 cm, W 33, D 18.9 cm.
Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein, 1741.
