A pair of candlesticks with Meissen porcelain figures

Ormolu candlesticks mounted with a figure of a lady playing a hurdy gurdy and a figure of harlequin with bagpipes wearing a bi-coloured jacket decorated with playing card motifs. Both figures mounted on pierced ormolu rocaille plinths fitted with screw-mounted candle nozzles and porcelain flowers on wire stems. Unglazed hollow bases, the crossed swords marks to one side / on the back of the plinth. His hat, the mouthpiece and pipe of the bagpipes restored, minor restorations to the bows and flowers. H c. 18, W c. 21 cm.
