A rare Renaissance bronze ink well with grotesques

Golden brown cast bronze with chocolate brown patina. Round, gadrooned baluster-form well supported by three winged triton-like grotesques with bearded male features and the tails and fins of fish, with female mascarons between the wings. Two legs broken off and lost (patinated). Casting flaws to the interior and egde.
Verona, workshop of Guiseppe de Levi, late 16th / early 17th C. or Venice, workshop of Niccolò Roccatagliata, early 17th C.
