Guild symbol of a butchers' guild

Pewter vessel in the form of an axe with four small dolphin-shaped hanging hooks. The blade engraved with a butcher, ox's head and a lion rampant, dated 1745 (?) and monogrammed. Unmarked. With dents and minor repairs to the hanging hooks. L c. 72, W c. 33 cm.
Central Europe, first half 18th C.
