An Empire ormolu pendulum clock

Ormolu, white enamel dial, blued steel hands. 14-day running movement with verge escapement and half-hourly striking on a bell. Oval base with two children in classical attire sitting on small stools reading and a bookcase in the centre housing the dial. Signed on the dial "Blanc Fils Palais Royal". One book and the back panel of the movement lost. H 36.6, W 29, D 18.5 cm.
