The German figurative painter skilfully combines social realism using an aesthetic characteristic to East-Berlin and elements of pop culture. Influenced by the visual cues with which he grew up, Bisky is a painter of movement, bodies, violence and Zeitgeist. The protagonist is standing there with an open shirt, the famous Adidas stripes are only alluded to. Influences by media, fashion, and including the characteristic font of the Kaufhalle lettering, are skilfully combined.
