An Austrian mother of pearl and gilded brass mounted sewing box with a view of Vienna by Balthasar Wigand and needlework tools.

Rectangular wooden box with mother of pearl inlays. The lid inset with a glazed gouche on paper miniature of Vienna seen from Heiligenstadt in a chased fire-gilt brass surround. The inside fitted with a mirror and an eight-piece needlework necessaire with mother of pearl handles and steel blades. The mother of pearl of the necessaire with minor damage and repairs. H 4.0 cm. L 13.0 cm. W 12.2 cm.
