A French Retro Style 18k gold, diamond and ruby chrysanthemum brooch.

Bombé-form flower motif with petals, leaves and small stalk. The centre cluster set with a brilliant-cut diamond of ca. 0.20 ct (I/J, si) surrounded by six rubies. The leaf edges set with 32 small rubies and 21 brilliant-cut diamonds (in total ca. 0.42 ct, I/J, si). Hinged clip mountings with double-pin and safety mechanism. Hallmarks: Parisian "tête d'aigle". Maker's mark, presumably "RS". 4.2 x 4.7 cm. Weight 32.54 g.
