A rare Meissen porcelain slop bowl with early Hoeroldt Chinoiseries

Decorated with detailed Chinoiserie scenes in strapwork surrounds with purple lustre backgrounds hung with iron red and brown feathers. One scene showing a merchant and barrels being loaded onto a boat, the other depicting an artist painting the portrait of an elegant lady. Unmarked. A restored rim chip, vertical crack. H 9, D 17.2 cm.
Before 1723, decorated in the workshop of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt, c. 1724/25.
