An early Meissen porcelain sugar box with K.P.M. mark and Chinoiseries

Of octagonal section painted with Chinoiserie scenes and figures in strapwork surrounds with purple lustre ground. The tiered lid with a faceted finial and painted with two Chinoiseries. Blue crossed swords mark with K.P.M., 35 in gold. Two minute chips to the basal ring. H 8.5, W 11.3, D 8.6 cm.
C. 1723/24, decorated in the workshop of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
