A Meissen porcelain slop bowl with Chinoiseries

The basal ring painted with an acanthus frieze picked out in gold, the body with a Chinoiserie scene of figures in a park with goats, birds and insects. The inside of the bowl with an alchemical scene. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark with two circles for Johann Gottlieb Kühnel sen., dreher's number 3, 4 in gold. Minimal wear to the gilt edging. H 8, D 15.6 cm.
C. 1739/40, decorated in the workshop of Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt.
